Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ClassNextDoor.

By accessing or using ClassNextDoor, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. About ClassNextDoor

ClassNextDoor is a marketplace/discovery platform intended to help Parents discover and connect with Tutors in their apartment/community or nearby areas.

ClassNextDoor facilitates discovery and communication.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, ClassNextDoor:

  • does not employ Tutors
  • does not act as a Tutor's employer
  • does not itself provide tutoring services
  • does not guarantee that a Parent will hire a Tutor
  • does not guarantee that a Tutor will receive students

Parents and Tutors independently decide whether to enter into a tutoring arrangement.

2. Eligibility

ClassNextDoor accounts are intended for adults legally capable of entering into agreements.

A Parent or lawful guardian should operate the account when seeking tutoring for a minor.

Users must provide accurate information and keep their account secure.

3. Account registration

ClassNextDoor currently uses Google authentication.

Users are responsible for:

  • using their own account
  • maintaining control of their Google account
  • providing an accurate mobile number
  • keeping profile information reasonably current

A Google account may be associated with one ClassNextDoor role according to the platform's account rules.

Users must not impersonate another person or create misleading accounts.

4. Parent responsibilities

Parents are responsible for independently evaluating whether a Tutor is appropriate.

Before engaging a Tutor, Parents should consider independently checking matters important to them, including where relevant:

  • identity
  • educational qualifications
  • experience
  • references
  • teaching ability
  • safety
  • suitability for the child

Parents remain responsible for supervision and decisions relating to their child.

5. Tutor responsibilities

Tutors must ensure information submitted to ClassNextDoor is truthful and reasonably accurate.

Tutors must not:

  • misrepresent qualifications
  • misrepresent teaching experience
  • use another person's photograph
  • provide false residency information
  • impersonate another Tutor
  • misrepresent fees or services
  • submit forged or misleading verification documents

ClassNextDoor may suspend, reject, unpublish or remove Tutor profiles where information appears misleading, inappropriate or inconsistent with platform requirements.

6. Apartment resident verification

The “Verified Apartment Resident” badge has a limited meaning.

It indicates that ClassNextDoor reviewed evidence relating to the Tutor's connection to the listed apartment/community.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does NOT represent:

  • police verification
  • criminal background verification
  • identity verification
  • qualification verification
  • employment verification
  • guarantee of teaching quality
  • endorsement or recommendation by ClassNextDoor

Parents should perform any additional checks they consider appropriate.

7. Tutor information

Tutor profiles may contain information provided by Tutors themselves.

Although ClassNextDoor may review certain information, we cannot guarantee every statement made by a Tutor is complete, current or accurate.

Users should independently verify information important to their decision.

8. Enquiries and demo requests

Parents may use ClassNextDoor to:

  • talk to Tutors
  • send enquiries
  • request demo sessions

Sending an enquiry or demo request does not create an obligation for:

  • the Tutor to accept
  • the Parent to hire
  • ClassNextDoor to arrange or guarantee the session

Parents and Tutors are responsible for agreeing on scheduling and other arrangements.

9. Fees and payments

Tutor fees displayed on ClassNextDoor may be indicative or starting amounts provided by Tutors.

Unless ClassNextDoor expressly introduces an in-platform payment service:

  • final tuition fees are agreed directly between Parent and Tutor
  • payment arrangements are between Parent and Tutor
  • ClassNextDoor is not responsible for collecting tuition fees
  • ClassNextDoor is not responsible for payment disputes between Parent and Tutor

If ClassNextDoor later introduces payments or subscriptions, additional terms may apply.

10. User conduct

Users must not use ClassNextDoor to:

  • commit fraud
  • impersonate another person
  • harass or threaten users
  • submit false information
  • upload unlawful or malicious content

  • interfere with platform security
  • send spam
  • use the platform for unlawful purposes

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the platform.

11. Safety

ClassNextDoor helps users discover and communicate with Tutors but cannot eliminate all risks associated with offline interactions.

Parents and Tutors should use appropriate judgment when:

  • meeting for the first time
  • arranging home tuition

  • arranging sessions involving children

Parents remain responsible for appropriate supervision of minors.
